Tubing for Elephants: Supporting Ethical Sanctuaries in Chiang Mai

In Chiang Mai, a new form of adventure meets compassion as tubing enthusiasts support the local Elephant Ethical Sanctuary. Led by the Sunshine-for-Elephants project, initiated by Kwan and her husband, this sanctuary represents a transformative shift in elephant tourism.

From humble beginnings as operators of a traditional elephant camp, Kwan and her husband embarked on a journey of change when one of their elephants fell ill. Over five years, their dedication transformed the sanctuary into a haven where elephants like Ta Mon and Sri Prai roam freely.

Now, visitors can enjoy tubing adventures while contributing to the well-being of these majestic creatures. Ta Mon and Sri Prai, once confined, now thrive in the sanctuary's natural habitat, a testament to the power of empathy and responsible tourism.

Supporting the local Elephant Ethical Sanctuary isn't just about enjoying an adventure; it's about being part of a movement towards more compassionate interactions with wildlife. With each tubing excursion, visitors play a vital role in supporting ethical practices and ensuring a brighter future for elephants in Chiang Mai.
